The Center for Conflict Dynamics (CCD) is part of Eckerd’s Division of Executive and Continuing Education. The CCD provides conflict management products and services to corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations. In 2014, CCD acquired the Mediation Training Institute (MTI) which conducts workplace mediation training programs. Together, CCD and MTI provide a full range of workplace conflict management and resolution services to clients in over thirty countries around the world.
The Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP), an assessment instrument dealing with conflict behaviors in the workplace, provides a powerful way to improve self-awareness of what triggers conflict in individuals as well as how they respond to conflict. Two versions of the instrument – the CDP-Individual (CDP-I) and CDP-360 – provide practical solutions for promoting more effective conflict resolution. Based on these triggers and responses, the Conflict Dynamics Profile then provides practical approaches for improving behaviors that promote more effective workplace conflict resolution.
Mediation Training Institute (MTI) provides several training programs to help people resolve destructive workplace conflicts. The techniques used in the MTI courses are easy to learn and put into practice. They are based on solid psychology principles and help managers and others assist employees to work through disputes that can erode productivity and morale. The MTI courses can be used in collaborative with the CCD’s other products to provide comprehensive awareness and skill development processes to improve organizations’ conflict competence.
